Modern logistics in China originated from the time of reform and opening up.Almost thirty years later, it becomes the most hot spot vocabulary of this year’s twosessions. The rapid rise of third-party logistics, the sprung up of reverse logistics,make the third-party logistics providers facing new opportunities and challenges,how to create greater customer value to increase the competitiveness of enterprisesget more attention. In this context, this article is gonging to research the relationshipbetween the third-party logistics provider customer orientation and customer firmlogistics improvement, to discuss the customer value creation of third-partylogistics provider customer orientation from the point of customer firm logisticsperformance.This article gave the review and summary of relevant literatures firstly.Drawing on the achievement of scholars around the world, based on the4Cmarketing theory, the customer value theory and customer relationship management,it studied the third-party logistics customer orientation with reverse logistics inchina, and built a new theoretical model. By questionnaire147third-party logisticscompanies, with the help of SPSS17.0and AMOS7.0software, using factoranalysis and path analysis to process data, the research found that there is asignificant positive correlation between third-party logistics provider owningreverse logistics customer orientation and customer firm logistics improvement.And then it triggered further consideration that how the third-party logistics createdcustomer value by customer orientation. Finally, the study discussed the applicationof the research in theory and practice, d ug the limitation and outlook of it, and provided a new way of thinking for the expansion study of third-party logistics, alsopointed out the direction for the development of third-party logistics in reality.
