Study On Corporate Social Responsibility Information Disclosure Of Listed Companies In Power Industry

In recent years the power generation groups’social responsibility performance have received praise from the government and rating agencies in our country. However some people and media reports are accused and criticized of the power generation companies’ social responsibility performance, such as power supply, ecological environment and so on. Why is there this kind of deviation? That’s partly because actual performance in the process of social responsibilities is not very desirable, and partly because enterprises are not good at communicating with the public. Studying the social responsibility information disclosure of listed companies in power industry would not only enhance the level of its disclosure to making the public knew more actual situation, but also stimulate and supervise enterprise’s performance, so as to improve the industry level.This research firstly studies the research results of the social responsibility information disclosure in home and aboard, elaborates the related theoretical basis. By analyzing social responsibility disclosures contexts in China’s power industry, the article construct the frame of social responsibility information disclosure for it combined with the existing theoretical study.Secondly, this article has selected2011year’s53listed companies in power generation industry as a research object. Depending on the entry of construction of power generation industry’s social responsibility information disclosure, this article analysis of the current basic situation of China’s power industry social responsibility information disclosure, pointed out the overall level of disclosure in the power industry was low and there were some problems in information disclosure, such as the content of social responsibility information disclosure is not complete, quantitative analysis of issues is inadequate and so on.Again, this paper analyses factors affecting the level of social responsibility information disclosure in the power generation industry. This article use social responsibility disclosure index as dependent variables, six influencing factors as explanatory variables to construct multiple regression model. By using SPSS software to carry on the multiple linear regression analysis to determine the relationship between the variables. The conclusions were as follows:the regional economic development, corporate culture and corporate social responsibility committee were obviously positive correlated with the level of social responsibility disclosure of power generation industry. The ownership property, the proportion of the independent and profitability had no significant correlation with social responsibility information disclosure level. Finally according to the above, the author made suggestions by the way of internal improvement and external supervision to raise the level of social responsibility information disclosures of listed companies in power generation industry.
