Since China’s reform and opening up, the guiding ideology of economic development in China has had the fundamental change, market openness, foreign trade strategy gradually by the past type of import substitution to export orientation.Since the implementation of export-oriented strategy in our country, foreign trade has made tremendous achievements, rapidly rising trade size and trade status. Expanding international trade, not only promoted China’s rapid economic development forward, still solved the employment problem, promoted the technology level and improved the industrial structure. But, because of export-oriented trade strategy policy has larger bias to the export sector, and the expansion of export relies on a massive increase in resources and labor input caused the high dependency of foreign trade, international trade imbalances, excessive proportion of processing trade, trade structure is unreasonable, trade friction intensified. This series of problems highlight the unsustainability of export-oriented trade strategy in China.In addition, China’s export-oriented trade strategy is based on comparison superiority as the main theoretical guidance, there are big limitations, comparative advantage theory itself and the traditional comparative advantage in our country is gradually reduced, comparative advantage theory of realistic guiding significance to our country is weakened, export-oriented trade strategy based on comparative advantage theory to guide the development of China’s international trade and applicability. Combined with the current world economic downturn, the decline in external demand, trade protectionism looked up, the international competition environment deteriorating, the lay particular stress on the extensive growth mode of export continued, would be a lot of resistance, also can make the economic development of our country is facing more difficulties and risks. Therefore, adjust the current export-oriented strategy and transformation of the mode of economic growth has the necessity and urgency.I think, the adjustment of China’s trade strategy, should base on the theory of comprehensive superiority, and to our country foreign trade development present situation as a starting point, combining with the external economic environment changes. To pay equal attention to import and export trade strategy; Promote economic growth from external demand leading gradually to the domestic leading the transition; From the simple to play to the comparative advantage gradually turned to cultivate comprehensive advantages.
