| Guangxi BG Bank is a typical city commercial bank. Similar to other city commercial banks which have been emerging all over the country in recent years, Guangxi BG Bank has been expanding both its business spheres and company scale with its flexible business mode and high adaptability to local economy. However, in the relative enclosed bank industry in China, city commercial banks, represented by the Guangxi BG Bank, have been striving to keep its footing in the fierce competition among the original major banks which firmly occupy the market initiative with their great company scale and rich experience in market competition. The key point to achieve the goal is to improve banks efficiency. This thesis, based on analysis on business efficiency of Guangxi BG Bank, attempts to make a comparison of efficiency among different kinds of banks and tries to provide an accurate and comprehensive evaluation on business efficiency of Guangxi BG Bank in order to find out the its problems in business efficiency and proposes corresponding strategies and suggestions.To give more comprehensive analysis results, the thesis adopts Factor Analysis Approach. This article selects12indicators from15banks including Guangxi BG bank from2009to2011of as sample, and use SPSS19.0software to calculated its factor score for each sample, and then gives evaluation on business efficiency of Guangxi BG Bank both horizontally and vertically.On the basis of results from Factor Analysis, the thesis concludes the business efficiency problems of Guangxi BG Bank in five aspects:(1) Poor performance in risk management ability and capital usage efficiency.(2) Poor business development ability.(3) Low profitability.(4) Poor innovation ability for financial products.(5) Defects in property right structure. And the thesis also explains that the defects in business efficiency of Guangxi BG Bank results from immature self-development, special pattern of banking competition, poor local economic development and lagged development of the domestic financial market.This thesis, base on the business efficiency problems of Guangxi BG Bank, proposes corresponding strategies and suggestions in the last part:(1) To improve bank’s risk management ability.(2) To strengthen the bank’s business development ability.(3) To improve bank profitability in various ways.(4) To improve the innovation ability of financial products.(5) And to improve the banks’ ownership structure. |
