| The appropriate accounting policy choices can provide fairer accountinginformation while inappropriate ones result in a great deal of harm for stakeholders. It isbetter for enterprises to set a system to manage accounting policy choices.This paper selects H Company as study sample and Focuses on “how to manageaccounting policy choice”. Required by H Company management, this paper doesn’tinvolve games between H Company and external parties (such as government). Onlygames inside H Company are set as the study object.This paper consists of six chapters, according to the logic that identifying problems(chapter1), analyzing problems (chapter2,3and4) and solving problems (chapter5and6). The core is chapter3,4and5. Chapter3describes H Company organizationalstructure, accounting organization and processes, documentation system of managingaccounting policies choice, processes and information systems. Chapter4analyzesexisting problems. Chapter5presents ideas and specific methods to solve problems.Based on studies, this paper concludes that keys of successful management ofaccounting policy choice for large enterprises are not only improving corporategovernance mechanisms, but also good power allocation on accounting policy choicedecision, setting accounting policy management framework based on the businessscenarios, founding and improving the whole-life cycle accounting policy managementprocesses through planning, development, amendment, monitoring and other aspects,and by project management to let stakeholders to participate fully in the activities ofaccounting policy choice process, in order to select the management mechanisms whichare most close to the enterprise’s own operating characteristics, according to internaland external regulatory requirements, finally continuously improving the enterprise’saccounting policies. It is important for both H Company but and other enterprises, asproviding a reference for performing accounting policy choice management in future. |
