| Abstract: Corporate strategic transformation is the holistic change of the business direction,operational mode and its organization, and the way of allocating resources. Meanwhile, it isthe process of reshaping competitive advantage, improving social value, and reaching newforms of enterprises. The correctness of strategic transformation determines the direction andspeed of the company’s development directly. As an enterprise, focusing on developing,exploiting, producing, and selling pianos, Ningbo Helen Piano Company limited by sharestransferred from a family business of producing the piano spare parts to a domestic famousmulti-national business with its own piano brand and exporting products overseas, afterexperiencing several rounds of strategic transformation. There has been a very importantguiding significance for achieving sustainable development of our family business throughresearching its growing process and successful experience.The paper is a case analysis report about research on strategic transformation. Theresearch object of this paper is Helen Piano Company limited by shares. Firstly, it analyzesthe background of doing pioneering work and growing of Helen Piano Company. Through thecorporate site visits, getting first-hand data of the company, chart and data analysis, andcombining the development trend of our piano market, it divides the growing process ofHelen Piano into several parts: the stage of producing parts, the stage of ODM production, thestage of brand management, and listed development, then it summarizes and evaluates theenterprise at the point of view of strategic transformation. Helen’s transformation could beroughly divided into five parts: production restructuring, steering from the parts to the wholepiano production; brand transformation, transiting from ODM to own brand; markettransformation, transiting from the foreign to the domestic; financing transformation,transiting from self-financing and borrowing to equity financing; management transformation,transiting from the business management to modern enterprise management. It also analyzesthe achieving competitive advantage of Helen enterprise: the advantage of the development offorward-looking strategic planning, the advantage of industry position, the advantage of brandcreation, and the advantage of technology research and development.
