In recent years, consumer payment habits change gradually, bank cards havebecome the main force of consumer payment, about47.45%of the total retail sales ofconsumer goods of the whole society is paid by card. Bank cards play an increasinglyimportant role in serving people’s livelihood, stimulating consumption and promotingeconomic development. The receiving market of bank cards is the basis of bank cardindustry, it’s environment’s quality directly affects the development of the receivingmarket, and even the development of the whole bank card industry.Vigorously developping the receiving market of bank cards has an importantsignificance: For consumers, eliminating inconvenients of carrying large amounts ofcash, reducing consumer’s searching costs; For merchants, attracting more consumers,promoting consumption, and dispensing with the trouble to invent and manage cash,avoiding the risk for counterfeit money, improving the transaction processing speed,speeding up the efficiency of funds; For accepting agency,can get kickbacks fromspecial merchants, can market other bank products, creating more profits; For society,promoting consumption, speeding up the efficiency of funds, boosting the economicgrowth, and being good to constructing social credit system.Through analysising the present situation of bank cards’ receiving market of,wefind our receiveing market had achieved outstanding results, deal sizes continuegrowing, the accepting environment continue improving, permeability increased. Butat present our country receiveing market still has many problems, mainly in theconsumer card frequency and merchant penetration is low, regional industrydevelopment is not balanced, small and medium-sized businesses to expand powershortage, risk controlling is more difficult, greatly restrict the development of theaccepting market.Based on the two-sided market theory,using the econometric model to examinethe characteristics of two-sided market, bank card acquiring market, and with thebilateral market characteristics as the basis for optimizing the acquiring market advice. The main idea of this article: the first is through the analysis of data and practicalinvestigation we found that China’s banking card acquiring market develops still slow,there are many problems, we need to take some measures to improve the situation;the second is we use1995-2013annual Chinese bank card industry data, verify thetwo-sided markets characteristics of Chinese bank card market by using the Graingercausality test, the issuing bank card market total issuing quantity growth will makethe acquiring market merchants quantity growth, in turn, merchants will also increasethe growth in the number of consumer motivation and consumer demand, but theeffect is small; the third is a brief analysis of the impact of several main factors ofbusinesses accept card payment, which is beneficial to the development of themerchant, improve environment; the fourth is in view of our country the existingproblem of single market and puts forward to the corresponding countermeasures andsuggestions.In order to better promote the development of the acquiring market, to solveproblems existing in the acquiring market, we should strengthen the construction ofinfrastructure, develop special merchants, optimize the structure of special merchants,standard acquiring institutional competition, and promote cooperation between theacquiring agencys, perfecting system, strengthening management, and maintaincoordinated development between the acquiring market and the issuing market.
