The Research On The Economies Of Scal Of China’s Insurance Industry

At present the insurance industry of our country is in the key period.The insurance indu-stry is going to enter the period of "scale impulse" from the quondam period which called "pro-fit-oriented ".The insurance industry in our country is one of the three pillars of the modern fi-inancial industry, it is very important for the development of the financial industry and thede-velopment of the economy.So the study of economies of scale of china’s insurance industryprovide theoretical basis for china’s insurance industry which is going to en-ter the period of"scale impulse" from the quondam period which called"profit-oriented ",it is also helpful forthe development of china’s economy,therefore, this study has some practical significance.Firstly,this thesis summarize the study of economies of scale of the insurance industry athome and abroad on the basis of the background and significance of the study. Secondly thispaper introduces the theoretical knowledge about the economies of scale,including the prod-uction and the development of the theoretical knowledge about the economies of scale,thede-finition of the theoretical knowledge about the economies of scale,the definition of theoreticalknowledge about the economies of scale and analyzes the influence factors of economies ofscale.Then this paper introduces the development of the insurance industry in our country,andfrom the aspect of the risk perspective, the aspect of the market, the aspect of market structu-re and the aspect of cost to analyze the study of economies of scale of china’s insurance indus-try.Finding that the insurance industry of our country is easier to achieve the economies ofscale,and analyzes the i-nfluence factors of the economies of scale of the insurance industry.Then use translog cost function and china’s insurance industry’s panel data for2006-2010inthe empirical analysis.The results show that the coefficient of the economy of scale of china’sinsurance industry is a little higher,the scale-economy is not obvious.Due to the results of em-pirical analysis and the results of theoretical analysis are not consistent,then analyzes the infl-uence factors of diseconomies of scale.Finally, this thesis summarizes the conclusion and putforwards political suggestions according to the development of our country’s insurance mark-et.
