Non-ferrous metals (including copper, aluminum, lead, zinc, nickel and othermetals), are closely related to the people’s daily life and the defense industry, scientificand technological development. The non-ferrous metals trade enterprises are playingan irreplaceable and bridge in improving the efficiency of commodity turnover,effective transmission of market information for the upstream and downstream.In recent years, accompanied by a wave of national construction boom,non-ferrous metal industry is full of competition. Market competitiveness is closelyrelated with market share, non-ferrous metal companies are looking to improve salesthrough enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises. While their overall sales volumeis the sum of individual sales performance. Based on this, to enhance the salesperformance will overall strengthen the competitiveness of enterprises.After reading, analyzing and summarizing existing research results based on thenon-ferrous metals industry, three factors are believed closely related with salesperformance in this paper. This established based on three assumptions. Namely:Personality has a certain correlation with sales performance; authorizations has acertain correlation with sales performance; payment model as a certain correlationwith sales performance. To authenticity of this study, we designed a specialquestionnaire collected to obtain a sample of over200sales personnel data. By usingSPSS statistical software, analyzing the use of correlation, multiple linear regressionanalysis and other methods to verify the above assumptions. It was found thatpersonality traits moderate extraversion and conscientiousness, authorizationperceived correlation with sales performance.Meanwhile, the paper argues that the above conclusions on the non-ferrous metaltrading enterprise sales staff selection, training, and management has a practicalsignificance, and describes the specific application directions and methods briefly.
