The Statistical Analysis Of The Relationship Between Residents’ Income And Economic Growth Of Sichuan Province

The paper aims at the phenomenon that the residents’income growth rate is lower than the economic growth of Sichuan Province, and analyzes some cases based on the existing data of the Flow of Founds Accounting. The main conclusion of this paper is as following:Firstly, the industrial structures developing from high investment and low level of human capital decide the distributive percentage of the national income that prefers capital oriented, and the weakness of the function of regulation and control of income distribution caused by the defects of the system of current tax, which are the two main reasons of the low growth rate of the residents’disposable income of Sichuan Province.Secondly, the objective existence of the statistic errors to some extent probably underestimates the income and exaggerates the gap between the residents’ income growth and economic growth of Sichuan Province, and the main reason is the low income report because of conscious or unconscious of the residents.This paper finds that there are about more than twenty percent of the residents’income is not reflected in the Flow of Founds Accounting, at the same time, there are about thirty-nine point six percent and forty percent can be explained by the survey error when we talk about the gap between the per capita disposable income of urban residents and the economic growth or the per capita net income of rural residents and the economic growth.Thirdly, the targeted tax system reform and policy adjustment are two of the priorities of governments at all levels of Sichuan Province in the new period.The advice that devides the sector of household to urban residents and rural residents in practical application is to improve the system of the Flow of Founds Accounting of Sichuan Province.The main highlight of this paper is that the phenomenon that the residents’ income growth rate is lower than the economic growth of Sichuan Province is discussed step by step from three aspects based on the perspective of the Flow of Founds Accounting. Besides, it should be pointed out that the deficiency of this paper mainly reflects from the inherent shortcomings of the Flow of Founds Accounting and the evaluation of error calculation.
