Food manufacturing industry is beneficial to the people’s livelihood, the people live and work in peace and important industry, at present, food safety incidents occurred one after another, leading to the consumer to a great extent on the food manufacturing industry to produce distrust, the development of the food industry has encountered some obstacles, to strengthen the food manufacturing has become an important topic of internal control industry inventory management. Food manufacturing industry inventory management has some common characteristics, time periodic inventory procurement requirements higher, procurement cycle is short; the inventory supply needed to meet food safety requirements; great influence on the costs of finished goods inventory management; inventory management is complicated, easy to confuse, to the internal control environment requirements are relatively high. Based on the above considerations, in order to protect the safety and quality of food manufacturing industry, ensure the safety, the reliability of inventory management, guarantee the correctness and efficiency of the production process, improve efficiency in the use of inventory, the HB Food Co. Ltd as an example, the existence of food manufacturing enterprises inventory internal control problems and puts forward improvement suggestions.This article from the internal control theory, first reviews the relevant theories at home and abroad internal control of inventory and practice, summed up the relevant concepts and theories of inventory internal control, particularity and expounds the food manufacturing industry of internal control and management of inventory; then introduced the development of HB food company and the inventory internal control system, analysis of the inventory internal control is reasonable and effective; then from the five aspects of internal control provisions of COSO (i.e. inventory internal control environment, risk assessment, inventory inventory internal control internal control activities, information and communication, monitoring and feedback) brought forward the HB company inventory internal control problems and the analysis; finally the analysis put forward to suggestions for improvement of HB company inventory internal control. This study is helpful to improve the management level of enterprises, improve the enterprise’s internal control system, improve the economic benefit of the company.
