XBRL is a new type of electronic communication language and the latest technology currently in business report information processing. It has had a revolutionary impact on a global scale. It is a standardized language, and which is conducive to the establishment, extraction and analysis of business data information and effectively improves the reliability and timeliness of the information. Now, XBRL has been used in the field of financial reporting.The Notes to financial statements is a indispensable component for financial reporting. It is more in-depth and detailed description for highly concentrated financial statements sheet information. In the era of knowledge economy, the notes to financial statements is becoming more abundant. As an important part of the financial statements, the integrity of the disclosed information is even more important. With the issue of China’s XBRL general purpose taxonomy in2010, the form of the information disclosure has changed. Now the related research of traditional notes to financial statements has been quite perfect, but for the new thing-XBRL financial reporting, how about its information discloses when compared with the traditional notes to financial statements? Does it meets the requirements of the quality of accounting information? How to improve? These just what this paper will be to concern.In this paper, the research idea is "raising problems-analyzing the problems-solving problems". First, this paper describes the research background and significance, reviews the relevant literature, research content and research methods. Then summarizes the research of the XBRL notes to the financial statements. It includes XBRL’s definitions and technical framework, and finally defines the concept. Combining the XBRL financial reporting template, the XBRL preparation form and the relevant regulation range of notes to the financial information disclosure are introduced. The core section of this paper is introducing the present situation of notes to the financial information disclosure. The article compares XBRL disclosed content of notes to financial statements with the traditional notes and compares the contents in the same industry, then analyzes.the still existing problems, which are in information disclosure of XBRL notes to the financial statements. Finally, this paper proposes corresponding improvement suggestions.In this paper, we found that the information disclosure of XBRL notes has some problems, mainly reflected in:the limitations of the reporting system; the lack of standardization of XBRL notes to financial statements and the non-uniform XBRL taxonomies; the listed companies are lacking of enthusiasm to disclose XBRL notes to financial statements; and the artificial filling problems of XBRL notes to financial statements. Therefore, this paper proposes corresponding improvement suggestions:improve the submitting system, which is used for the preparation of XBRL notes to financial; standardize the disclosure of XBRL notes to financial statements and expand XBRL taxonomies; improve the listed companies’enthusiasm to disclose XBRL notes to financial statements and speed up software development and talent training of XBRL.The main deficiencies in this paper:First, the scope of this paper is the construction industry, the sample size is smaller, and the construction industry itself also has unique nature, these will affect the expandability of the conclusions of this paper. Second, the content of XBRL notes to financial statements is plenty, but this paper only analyze three parts of XBRL notes, so the analysis is not comprehensive enough. In addition, all problems involved of this paper are counted by hand, a little error is inevitable, that all errors cannot be found in the notes.
