Research On The Influence Factors Of Environmental Information Disclosure From The View Of Social Responsibility

Due to the particularity of its products in the production process the western medicine enterprises have great influence on environment. However, as one of the16categories of heavily polluting enterprises which is required mandatory disclosure, western medicine enterprises have poor disclosure of environmental information:they not only lack the independent environmental report, there are also many problems about the disclosure of environmental information disclosure in the annual financial report, such as the unstandardized disclosure, insufficient information and lacking of more practical monetary information. It not only has negative effect on the information user’s decision-making, but also makes obstacles the sustainable development of enterprises. Besides the factors of government regulation, the disregarding for the social responsibility is also the cause of environmental information disclosure of this phenomenon.In this background, studying the factors which affect the western enterprise environmental information disclosure of our country has certain directive significance to improve the environmental information disclosure system from the source code. In other hand, it will help enterprises find a breakthrough to improve environmental governance and information disclosure, and promote the sustainable development of enterprises and the whole industry. At the same time, it also provides policy advice for government regulators about the supervision and standardization of western corporate environmental information disclosure, and has positive response to the state for the requirements of environmental protection and sustainable development.In this thesis we have summarized the new research results on disclosure of environmental information of domestic and foreign scholars.We test the factors of the medicine enterprise environmental information disclosure in China through empirical method on the basis of the detailed analysis of the present situation of western medicine enterprise environmental information disclosure. The full thesis can be divided into six parts: The first part introduces the research background and significance of the article. Then there has a systematic review on the disclosure of environmental information literature at home and abroad, and finanly we propose research and research methods of this thesis.The second part firstly introduces the definition of the environmental information, and then analyse the environmental information disclosure from the perspective of stakeholders’respectively. Then introduces the theoretical basis of the environmental information disclosure from four aspects:social responsibility theory, information asymmetry theory, accountability theory and stakeholder theory.The third part analyzes the disclosure of environmental information at the present stage from the mode and level, and then summarized some problems of the environmental information in the western medicine enterprisesThe fourth part introduces the sample selection, data sources and the design of the variable. In this thesis, we collect the financial data from the year2009to2011in the western medicine industry, and study it as a sample using the multiple linear regression models.The fifth part is the empirical part and we analyze the correlation test and multiple regressions to a concrete analysis of the western medicine industry on the basis of the dependent variable and independent variables.The sixth part summary the conclusion of this thesis and put forward the corresponding policy suggestions for the western medicine industry.The empirical results show that:the social responsibility has a significant positive effect on the level of disclosure of environmental information; the company scale and the area with the disclosure of environmental information has a significant positive correlation; and the influence of corporate governance factors are not significant. Therefore, when the western medicine enterprises strengthen supervision capacity of corporate governance factors such as the independent director, they should also further improve the environmental information of enterprises from strengthening of internal environment governance system of the disclosure level. The main contribution of this paper is, we analyse the western medicine enterprise as an independent research sample. Because the pollution control and environmental information disclosure issues are more prominent for western medicine enterprise, it is more targeted and practical value to research the affecting factors of western corporate disclosure of environmental information and enrich the theory research of original focus on steel, oil and chemical environmental information of enterprises.
