Research On Regional Economic Development Of Dongying Industrial Clusters Perspective

Industrial cluster as an important form of modern economic layout, plays an increasinglyimportant role in regional economic and has a positive effect in multiply aspects such asexpanding economic scale, promoting competitive force, accelerating the development ofregional innovation and improving efficiency, and has becoming the new way of thinking incountries and regions in promoting the economic development. Dongying City as one of atypical resource-based city is an important component in the development plan for Yellow Riverdelta efficient ecological economic zone and the Shandong peninsula blue economic zone，hasnow facing a problem on how to promote the development of regional economics.First, this paper introduces the related concept and theory of industrial clusters, mainlysummarizes from the definition of industrial cluster, classification, formation mechanism,characteristics, classification and the relationship between industrial clusters and regionaleconomic development and also the relevant theories of industry clusters.Especially put forwardthe new views in the industrial cluster classification, characteristics, and the relationship betweenthe development of clusters and regional economy, and highlighting introduce the DiamondTheory, to lay a theoretical basis on putting forward the view of promoting Dongying regionaleconomy on industrial clusters.To make an analysis of this regions’ construction situation and the development status ofleading industry, also using the four basic factors and two auxiliary elements of the DiamondTheory to analysis the competitiveness of Dongying city industrial clusters. At the same time, tomake an research on the selected relatively successful industrial clusters of silicon valley andShenzhen area, and has come to a profound inspiration of industrial cluster.Finally, this paper based on the development of Dongying, puts forward that thegovernment should play a positive role in choosing the industry cluster, providing services, andrelated clusters’ main body construction and so on, also proposes countermeasures andsuggestions to promote the development of Dongying regional economy.
