Role And Development Of The China’s Stock Markets

In this study, we analysis the behavior of both Shanghai Stock Exchange and New York Stock exchange from1991to March2013. The aim of this analysis is to discover how these two markets have reacted to the main events appeared since1991, and to observe the relation between the annual GDP growth rate and the development of the main country stock index for China and the United States.This thesis will be particularly focus on the Chinese stock market, especially the one in Shanghai and the reforms set by the government and the China Securities Regulatory Commission.Being interested in finance since a while now, the analysis of the China’s stock market is a subject that I believe important in the actual context, with the China’s government trying to improve its stock markets.
