The Empirical Study Of Reaction Of Economic Growth To The Changes Of Instrial Structure

Industrial structure is one of the important factors that affect economic growth,the change of industrial structure has important influence on economic growth speedand quality. Keeping industrial structure and economic growth adapted andaccelerating the process of rationalization and sophistication of industrial structure areimportant guarantee for future economic growth. This paper takes17cities inShandong province as the research object, undertakes a study on the relationshipbetween the economic growth and industrial structure change in the17cities with thepanel data model, at the same time, we will discuss the influence factors of theindustrial structure by using grey correlation analysis method. It will provide a theorysupport for the city industrial structure adjustment of the cities in Shandong province,and will help the cities to formulate reasonable industrial policy, it has importanttheoretical and practical significance for the development of the region’s economy.The paper contains six chapters, the first chapter outlines the researchbackground and research significance, reviewes the relevant theories, sorts out theresearch content and puts forward the Innovation of the paper. The second chapterdefines the connotation of the industrial structure, and expounds the evolution law ofindustrial structure and theories of industrial structure optimization. The third chapterdescribes the trend of economic growth and the change of industry structure ofShandong Province after1978, then make a careful analysis on the proportion ofIntra-industry changes. In the fourth chapter, the paper uses panel-data model toanalysis the relationship between the three industries output, Taylor index andeconomic growth of17cities in Shandong province, and concludes that the secondaryindustry has the largest contribution to national economy growth (Heze except),Theprimary industry in Jining,Taian, Liaocheng, Binzhou occupy a certain position ineconomic growth. The tertiary industries’s proportion rises quickly in Jinan, Zibo,Linyi, Heze, but we found a negative correlation between Taylor index and economicgrowth. In this chapter, we categorize the cities in Shandong province based on theproportion between industry output and the national economy. The fifth chapter,we constructe an index system to analysis the influence factor to industrial structure, thenconcluded that the level of the resident consumes take the dominant position in thechanges of primary industry output,and international factors, technical factors and theinput of capital hold the advantage in the development of the secondary and tertiaryindustries. At last, we analyze the influencing factor of the industrial structureaccording to the classification made in chapter four, and emphasize rationalizedsuggestion which fits to upgrade Shandong’s industrial structure. In chapter6, wesummarize the main research conclusion of this paper, as same as, pointe out someshortage in the theoretical and empirical researches in the paper and reviewe thefurther study.
