Agricultural Listed Companies Social Responsibility And Financial Performance Correlation

With the rapid development of economic, people’s living standards are increasing.Green,health, environmental protection, low-carbon, efficient are seem to become the new darling ofthe times,people improved the standards of food safety, so concerned about corporate socialresponsibility has become the focus of the new era, it set off a whole society boom.At first, the idea of corporate social responsibility from Western countries, and has beenhighly valued in Western countries. Positive corporate social responsibility to help enhance itsgood brand image, to attract more consumers, the introduction of a large number ofoutstanding talents, improve supervision of government departments and so on.However,some of our enterprises to fulfill their social responsibility still doubts that corporate socialresponsibility for the company’s financial performance would have a negative effect.In thisproblem, we selected29agricultural listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen listed forfive consecutive years from2008to2012as the research sample data, using empiricalmethods to analyze the relationship between them.Respectively from market indicators andaccounting indicators to measure two aspects of its financial performance, from theperspective of stakeholders to study the correlation between agricultural listed corporatesocial responsibility and financial performance, using multiple linear regression models weretested.Studies have shown that agricultural listed companies fulfill their social responsibilitiesand financial situation positively related to overall performance,application of accountingmeasure of financial performance and its fulfillment of social responsibility was a significantpositive correlation between the use of market indicators to measure financial performanceand social responsibility is not significant.From the perspective of the stakeholders in therelationship between different stakeholder responsibility and financial performance.To furthervalidate this relationship,in this paper, I also analysis the case of ZHONGMU AG,according tothe annual report and financial data research company shows: agricultural listed companies toactively fulfill their social responsibility will play on its financial performance facilitatingrole.Finally fulfilling aspects of corporate social responsibility policies put forward relevantproposals.
