With the development of enconomy and society, to transform the nature of human engineering activities are increasingly frequent, which generated a lot of slope engineering problems, among them the fill slope stability problems. Due to poor design or improper construction are like to cause the fill slope instability. In this paper, starting from the actual project, the causes and the stability’s influencing factors of the landslide where is in Yunnan Guoneng coal power Shanxing village’s slag dumps of cole stock heap in Mile city in Yunnan are studied.The extremely detailed information of topography and physiognomy evolution and lithology characteristics in study area are obtain is by use of a large number of exploration and indoor and outdoor experiments. And summarizes the developmental characteristics of the landslide, and the former slag heap of slope stability was checking. The landslides in an unstable state under saturated conditions. Article on the role of the two expressions slope of groundwater were studied, which were not considered in the soil water seepage how to reflect the impact of the landslide. This is subject to further study.The paper also studied sensitivity of influencing factors of soil-filled slope stability and obtained the affect of internal frictional angle of the soil is the significant, the sensitivity was0.72. The sensitivity of horizontal earthquake influence coefficient is0.39, the sensitivity of soil’s volume weight is0.14, the sensitivity of soil’s cohesive strength is0.06. And provides a referential meaning for similar soil-filled slope’s design.
