Biopesticides are a kind of biological agents, which prevent bacteria, insects, and weeds etc. by the organism itself or the product of biological metabolism. They have the characteristics of high selectivity, fast degradation speed, lowtoxicity to non-target organisms, and they seldom produce resistance to diseases, and have weak influence to the environment. These features are in line with therequirements of the sustainable development of contemporary agriculture. And,the microbial pesticides are widely used and have the most obvious effect withthe development of biopesticides. The fermentation products of Soil Actinomycete11339have good effect oncontact, stomach toxicity and apastia against armyworm, and have greatapplication value for agricultural production.Since the strain is the basis of agricultural antibiotic production originatedfrom microbes, so the research and development of microbial drugs lies in thebreeding of fine strains. And the development and application of new breedingtechniques promote the development of bio-fermentation field.Based on the above reasons, this paper used five mutation methods, namelyUV mutation,UV-LiCl compound mutation, UV-nitrite compound mutation, heavy metal silence genes resurrection and streptomycin-resistance mutationscreening, to make six breeding treatments on the Soil Actinomycete11339successively, including natural breeding. At last we screened one mutant strain, which has shorter growth cycle, less demanding fermentation conditions, but thehighest insecticidal activity, numbered Ⅵ–136.
