As an important component of energy, petroleum exploration and development have attracted more widely attention. With the development of oil and gas exploration, exploration targets and development environments have become increasingly complex. Migration imaging algorithm for complex media has been proposed to solve the problem of complex reservoir exploration effectively. The improvement of imaging accuracy and the calculation efficiency of complex geological structure is the important research topic, in which migration imaging algorithm is applied to oil and gas exploration. This paper presents a parallel RTM algorithm, studies the parallel nature of the algorithm, and compares the imaging effect of Kirchhoff migration and RTM migration for complex structure layered homogeneous medium and high-speed paste containing rock. At the same time, a comparison of different methods, different enhance to the final results is obtained through reducing noise, gain and image enhancement processing. Research shows that RTM migration method has more superiority to the Kirchhoff migration method. The paper also compares the different effects of Gauss and Laplace transform filter image enhancement, and furthermore, to solve the problems of large calculation that full-wave equation based RTM migration causes, the paper studies Hess VTI model and realizes the parallel2-D RTM algorithm using MPI programming on high-performance Linux cluster. The result shows that Parallel RTM algorithm can not only be consistent with the serial algorithm of high-definition imaging results under salt, but also the parallel efficiency of the test is at least above80%. This shows that the imaging of parallel RTM algorithm in VTI medium proposed in this paper can get high precision, high efficiency, and would be expected to receive the accurate imaging of complex medium of the underlying structure of the actual field through further research, which has great prospects for development.
