Relative to development of conventional oil and gas reservoirs, volcanic reservoir exploration is more difficult, mainly due to the lithology of volcanic rock is very dense, and reservoir space is smaller and uneven distribution, the combination of the types is very complex, and geophysical characteristics of the rock are influenced greatly by the rock hydrothermal alteration, mineral composition, the hole and fissure development degree which has brought great difficulties to the volcanic reservoir logging evaluation. Santanghu Turpan Basin is located in the north-Hami Oilfield, Carboniferous strata development is relatively complete, which Haerjiawu group and Kalagang are main volcanic reservoir section. Aiming Santanghu Basin volcanic reservoir lithology, pore structure is complex, This study made use of core data, analysis and test data, oil and water analysis data, completed geological characteristics of volcanic reservoir in Santanghu Basin. Combined with conventional logging, imaging logging and array induction logging data etc, through analysis response characteristics of different lithology logging, summed up the crossplot method for lithology identification in Santanghu volcanic region, including:RT/AC-CNL crossplot, AC-GR crossplot, GR-RT crossplot. That can accurately identify major lithology as andesite, basalt, tuff, volcanic breccia, basalt almonds, almond-shaped lava of the research block, and made a stratum fundamental divide in the studied area. The reservoir fracture were identified by using of the dual lateral logging and the array induction logging data; Combined actual geological conditions in research areas with empirical formulas, it realized the calculation of reservoir parameters, including the rock porosity, fracture porosity, fracture permeability and saturation, eventually completed volcanic reservoir evaluation in Santanghu Basin.
