At present the aim of seismic exploration is turned from searching tectonic oil-gas pools to searching subtle thin reservoir and complex lithologicunit pools. In China, most big oil field havc entered into the mid-late period stages of development, the precision of seismic processing and interpretation has faced higher demands. Conventional ideas and technology are no longer adequate.Seismic resolution limit study revealed that due to the influence of the earth attenuation ahd noise, time resolution is limited, even for thin reservoir and subtle pools exploration in continental sediment enviroment of China. It is apparently difficult to meet geologic interpretation, so seeking to develop spatial resolution is necessary. This paper, based on the concept of spatial resolution, analyse whether ordinary high resolution seismic processing methods satisfy the demand of relatively preserved amplitude and wave character processing. With the comparing research of the ability of improving resolving and relatively preserving amplitude which belong to different deconvolution method. The highfidelity surface consistent two-step deconvolution method which preserving the spatial relatively of seismic sign character on the base of improving resolving is developed. Applied in the actual data and gained favorable results. The result show that because of single channel and single window characteristic, the singlechannel deconvolution cannot preserve seismic signal’s space relativity, will disturb the spatial resolution. As contrast, the multichannel deconvolution has the surface consistency concept, eliminate single channel differences which created by stimulate environment and near surface differences, have the ability of relatively preserved amplitude and wave character. The surface consistent twostep deconvolution method which based on surface consistency concept and multi-channel statistical method, improving resolution and signal to noise ratio simultaneously, is high fidelity seismic processing method for resolution improvement, and fit for base on spatial resolution to recognize thin reservoir and subtle pool precessing and interpretation integration method.
