The hybrid M14 (2n=19) of sugar beet was produced by Professor Dedong Guo by interspecific cross of cultivated Bet vulgaris with wild species Beta colloroflora. It is aneuploid hybrid containing both sexual and apomictic traits. In this work,24 transcript-derived fragments (TDFs) have been used in order to amplify complete cDNA sequences by using rapid amplified cDNA of ends (RACE) technique. Our results show that 3 complete cDNA sequences, called here TF75-1F, TAA2-1F, TDA2-2F, have open reading frames of 675 bp,606 bp,492 bp, and encoded for proteins of 224,201,163 amino acid respectively. Chemical characterizations of the three genes were analyzed by bioinformatic tools. The protein coded by TF75-1F has similar homology with Kunitz trypsin inhibitor. However, no homologous sequences were found for TAA2-1F and TDA2-2F in Gene Bank. We at first time cloned the three genes. Further analysis will be carried out for their roles during floral development.
