The high chromium cast iron had been usually widely used in machinery, metallurgy,mining and mineral processing industries as one of excellent wear-resistant materials because ofit has good abrasion resistance and toughness. But now the majority research to high chromiumcast iron is only limited within the scope of hypoeutectic or eutectic.The hypereutectic highchromium cast iron contain carbon and chromium has significantly increased,the carbidesgenerate relatively large and it could be effectively improve the hardness compared with thehypoeutectic or eutectic high chromium cast iron with excellent performance.However, theprimary carbides formed in high chromium cast iron will be more coarse when the number ofcarbide increased to a certain extent.so that the toughness of high chromium cast iron sharpdecline.If could been change the form of primary carbides,improved the impact toughness of thehypereutectic high chromium cast iron in some conditions will significantly improve the wearresistance of high chromium cast iron.This will improve the wear resistance of the material hasan important significance.The paper deal with the methods of vibration crystallization and cooling inclined plate,bychanging ingredients, pouring temperature and vibration frequency for the problems ofhypereutectic high chromium cast iron to find a set of the hypereutectic high chromium castiron with the most excellent mechanical properties.The experiment results show that the shape of carbide in high chromium cast irongradually could been become coarse,the impact toughness continue to reduced and hardnesscontinue to increased with the increase of carbon.The primary carbides in hypereutectic highchromium cast iron could been refined obviously when applied to different vibrationfrequencies in the casting process.The sample would been has the best mechanical propertieswhen the vibration frequency at20Hz.The carbide is no longer refined obviously when continueto increase the frequency.By controlling the different pouring temperature analysis and studythe effects of high chromium cast iron.Reduced the pouring temperature could been effectivelyrefined carbide grains and make toughness decreasing increased before and then decline slightly.It could been obtain the organization with the best performance when the pouring temperature at1400℃. The experiment results also show that the ordinary pouring prepared the samples morecoarse and the performance is very poor.The sample prepared by Semi-solid cooling inclinedplate could been guarantee the hardness while improving their toughness compared with thesample pouring by ordinary casting.The effect is more obviously, impact toughness can beincreased to60%while applying necessarily vibration frequency.
