Tin is very important metal material for the national economic construction. Along with tin ore resources to reduce, using best process to recycle tin from slag with high tin is more important. In this paper, first of all, the present resources of tin and the development of treatment process for slag with high tin were generally discussed. In second, the thermodynamic properties and the law of evaporation about SnS and sulfur slag under vacuum were analyzed and calculated. At last, different experiments about SnS and sulfur slag of vacuum distillation were done. Meanwhile, sublimation rate of SnS, the product of sulfur slag under vacuum distillation and the facts which impact the reactions on SnS and sulfur slag were discussed.The saturated vapor pressure of SnS and other metal sulfide of the slag with high tin were calculated and compared, the results from large to small were Sb2S3>SnS> Bi2S3> PbS> Cu2S> FeS. In the experiment, SnS had volatilized at the temperature890K in the experiment. The XRD pattern of condensate showed that the main phase of the volatile were SnS phase. Volatilization rate of SnS at different temperature of vacuum distillation were calculated and through linear regression method could get the relationship between v and T, the equation of volatilization rate is Log vThe result of XRD indicated that the main phases are Sn and Cu2S in the sulfur slag. Thermodynamic research of sulfur slag vacuum distillation showed that the reaction between Sn and Cu2S would be carried out and products were SnS and Cu under10Pa system pressure and1123K, the Gibbs free energy is—16508.9J, which were well agreement with the experimental results. The XRD, EDS and chemical elements analysis were used to study the products. XRD pattern of residue collected in crucible indicated that the main phase were Sn, Cu6.26Sn5(η phase) and Cu3Sn (ε phase). The average mass fraction of tin was56.34%and copper was30.67%. Copper was enrichment in the residue and almost twice than mass fraction of copper in raw material. XRD and EDS pattern of volatile collected on condensator showed that the main phase was SnS.
