This thesis is devoted to provide convenient synthesis methods of a kind of novel nitrogen functionalized imidazolium salts which can be used as nitrogen heterocyclic carbene precursors, and their metallization reactions were explored.Specifically, we synthesized two kinds of novel imidazolium salts ligands and conducted their coordination reactions:1. Synthesis of five-membered nitrogen-containing heterocycle pyrrole modified imidazole salts and their metallation reactions. We chose Ni(II) and Li(I) to coordinate with these ligands and obtained the structures of compounds Ni-NHC and Li-NHC. The above compounds were investigated by NMR and X-ray diffraction single crystal structural analysis.2. Synthesis of methylamino-group-modified imidazole salts. This part of the work can be mainly divided into two sections. The first one is the synthesis of imidazole salts supported by methylamino benzyl. In order to avoid the oxidation of methylamine, we introduced BOC to the protected and deprotected the methylamino-group, and finally successfully synthesized this kind of compounds. The second section of our work was focused on the synthesis of amido modified imidazole salts. In the area of their metallzation reactions, we also obtained nickel compounds Ni-NHC and identified their structures. It is exciting to gain two comparative valuable conformations of cis and trans-Ni(NHC)2X2structures by accident. All of the above compounds were investigated by NMR and X-ray diffraction single crystal structural analysis.
