Cubeba as one of the main economic species of spices and the largest naturalessential oil in China’s export volume, which has great value for development, and hasa wide range of use in food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic products. Cubeba oil has abroad development prospects, which is not only a fragrance in raw materials, but alsowith a variety of anti-bacterial effect, defenses against allergies, asthma anddeworming. Citral, it is widely used in daily flavor, as one of the major components ofcubeba oil, is used as the main flavoring agent and flavoring agent. Citral can besynthesized α, β-ionone, irones, as well as vitamins A, E and so on. However, due toits highly volatile, cubeba oil is prone to deterioration in the storage process, Cubebaoil uses the method of microencapsulating to prevent evaporation losses and makescenting more stable, which can effectively improve its stability and application value. This article is based on the previous research, using ultrasonic assisted traditionalmethods to design a feasible process about the usage of cubeba to improve efficiency, streamline processes purposes. The research includes three aspects:Chapter one: This chapter mainly introduces basic case of litsea cubeba, litseacubeba oil, β-cyclodextrin and Ultrasonic, and their application in different fields.Based on the concerning updated development and our experiment conditions, theresearch proposal for this thesis was presented.Chapter two: Litsea cubeba fruit is for raw material, and we used conventionaldistillation method to extract litsea cubeba essential oils. During the extractionprocess, we compared the advantages and disadvantages of in-water distillation andover-water distillation, and studied ultrasound assisted in-water distillation technology. After extracting the essential oils which was used for raw materials, we separated thecitral from the oil using chemical method, and explored the optimal conditions forextraction of citral using the orthogonal test and uphill test. The results are asfollows:During extraction of essential oils of litsea cubeba, the method of in-waterdistillation is better than over-water distillation. A certain degree of good effect was made by ultrasonic-assisted and the best ultrasonic time is25min. The optimalconditions for separation of citral (1mL of Litsea cubeba oil as raw material basis)were confirmed as follows: NaHSO3saturated solution:6mL, NaOH (10%)solution:30mL, reaction temperature:0°C, standing time:60min.Chapter three: An inclusion complex composed of β-cyclodextrin and litseacubeba oil was prepared by ultrasonic assisted the method of saturated solution andthe properties of the compound was investigated by using the IR absorption spectrum,UV-visible absorption spectra and thermogravimetric analysis. Using single factor(considering temperature, β-cyclodextrin, ultrasonic time, the amount of ethanol) inthe process of inclusion experiment to find the best conditions for interval, further tofind the best condition inclusion by using the orthogonal experiment, the results wereas follows:ultrasonic time was2hours, ultrasonic temperature was60℃, Litseacubeba oil to1ml as the benchmark,β-cyclodextrin saturated solution was12ml, theethanol solution was2ml, and the compound has the highest oil content and inclusionrate. Finally, the main research achievements were summarized, and the furtherresearches were prospected.
