This paper focused on the preparation and the characterization of metal coordination polymer compounds based on a novel ligand of3-(4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)phenylphosphonic acid (m-ptzH2). The ligand was prepared by the reaction of3-bromoaniline with1,2-diformylhydrazine and then reflux with HCl under catalysis of Pd(PPh3)4. Based on the reaction of m-ptzH2with metal ions,5coordination polymers were obtained:Cd2(m-ptz)SO4.4H2O (Compound1)Co (m-ptz).H2O (Compound2)[CuⅡ2CuⅠ2(m-ptz)2(m-ptzH)(Cl)·H2O]·2H2O(Compound3)CuⅠ4I2(m-ptzH2)2(m-ptzH)2(Compound4)Cu2(m-ptz)2(Compound5)These coordination polymers were characterized by IR, Element Analysis, TGA, XRD, and X-ray structural study. X-ray structural study shows that compound1is a3D network structure; compound2is a layer structure which then extend to supramolecular architectures by hydrogen bonds; compound3is also a layer structure and then layers connect by hydrogen bonds; compound4is a quadrinuclear CuⅠ structure, and furthermore, the complexes extend to supramolecular architectures via hydrogen bonding interactions; compound5is Triclinic Crystal system, P-1space group, compound5is3D structure.
