Silane coupling agent is one kind of the most characteristic organic compounds. It has two kind of functional groups. One is the carbon functional group which can react with organic polymer, the other is the silicon functional group which is easy to be hydrolyzed and make condensation polymerization. So the organic material and inorganic material can be connected through the silane coupling agent. Because it has such miracle feature the researcher and developer applied it in metal surface treatment industry instead of phosphate technology, phosphate technology involved heavy metals, polluted environment, cost huge energy and had complicated technics.With people’s environmental protection consciousness improvement and strict environmental protection statue metal surface treatment silane technology will be the main role in21st century. The metal surface treatment silane technology grew fastest in household electronical appliances which represents the development trend. As long as the the zinc, nickel, manganese, phosphor and nitrogen are restricted heavily, as the substitute silane technology become one of the most important technology in metal surface treatment industry.Nowadays the phosphate technology is applied in most of the metal surface treatment industry. The main raw materials are phosphor and nitrogen chemical compound. During the production plenty of waste water and sludge involving heavy metal, phosphor and nitrogen are created. If this waste water and sludge can’t be treated in time the environment will be polluted. Silane coupling technology is an environmental technology. There are no heavy metal, phosphor and nitrogen agent inside. So choosing correct silane coupling agent, defining good ratio and making good quality silane products is very important and significative.The key to make qualified metal surface treatment silane products is choosing the suitable silane coupling agent and defining the correct ratio. At first, I analyzed and investigated the mechanism in this dissertation. Secondly, I studied the effects after treatment with different silane coupling agents and ratios. Finally, through a series of experiments, I optimized the recipes of the treatment agents. The main component of the treatment agents contains zirconium fluoride acid, silicon collosol and aminolsilane, which can be applied in household electronic appliances and auto parts industry.By adding cupric nitrate, the metal surface treatment agents made in this dissertation can be applied in train, automotive, ship, household electronic appliances and metal storage protection industry.
