As a food in people’s daily life, beverages mainly supply water to human body. In China, Soft drink is the natural or artificial preparation of the beverage, which the alcohol content will generally be less than0.5%. Its usually called non-alcoholic drinks, also known as refreshing drinks, non-alcoholic beverage. Soft drink is found favor in the majority of children and young people. Its importance and security has been more and more attention to the relevant state departments. Trihalomethanes are the byproducts in the chlorination process of drinking water. The superscalar of THMs will cause great harm to people’s health. At present, headspace gas chromatography is the method to detect the THMs in drinking water in China. However, there is some shortcomings in the headspace method, such as the lower detection sensitivity, the larger error of gas injection, poor repeatability and others. Another, the use of the packed column results some shortcomings of low column efficiency, large injection, low resolution of chromatogram and certain errors. large injection chromatogram lower resolution, certain errors and shortcomings. Generally, the international analytical methods based on gas-chromatography have been reported for determining THMs in drinking water, such as liquid-liquid extraction(LLE), purge and trap-GC sets of mass spectrometry coupled with technical(P&T-GC-MS). The current trend in analytical chemistry is to advocate "green chemistry" and require environment-friendly, as much as possible to use less solvent to achieve the purpose of the analysis. But the price of P&T-GC-MS is generally high. At the same time the price of consumables used can not being controlled, resulting in high cost determination. Therefore the development of accurate, rapid, low-cost, environment-friendly, suitable detection method for THMs residue of soft drink in China has become a pressing issue. This topic is based on the current national standard gas chromatography, we used the pre-treatment of headspace-solid-phase microextraction to detect levels of THMs residues in soft drink products. The results show that this method can be used in the local gas chromatograph simultaneous analysis of of THMs residues in a variety of soft drinks, the rapid detection, and short analysis time, low cost, without the need for complex pre-treatment process and good popularity. In addition, the method by solid phase microextraction combined with domestic gas chromatograph directly for THMs in soft drinks residual detection, the method is accurate and precise, repeatability and good linearity, high sensitivity. Therefore, this research has some practical and innovative value, it provided the new methods, new tools and new ways for the detection of THMs residues in soft drinks. It can enhance the depth and level of local scientific instruments by the study of this subject. To establish a rapid, efficient, high-sensitivity detection analysis methods of THMs in soft drink products, and to provide detection methods for the development of new, standard quantification of THMs residues in soft drink products.
