Antimony-doped tin oxide (ATO), as a kind of conductive metal oxide, is widelyused as dopants in polymer resins to produce conductive coating. The ATO dopedcoatings present high electrical conductivity and mechanical strength, good acid andalkali resistance as well as wear resistance. In this dissertation, nano ATO andATO/TiO2doped acrylic polyurethane resins were prepared and applied in organicphotoconductor (OPC), which could afford high charging capacity, small dark decayrate, low residual potential and high photosensitivity.Firstly, nano ATO and ATO/TiO2conductive particles were prepared viachemical co-precipitation. The effects of antimony doping amount, reaction pH andtemperature on powder resistivity were studied. It is found that the ATO powderobtained under optimal condition(n(Sn)/n(Sb)=4:1, pH=2, calcinationstemperature=700℃, calcinations time=1h) exhibited low resistivity of0.36Ω·cmwith size of15nm. The optimal reaction conditions for ATO/TiO2particles was alsoinvestigated by orthogonal experiments (n(Sn)/n(Sb)=10:3, coating amount=55%,pH=2, calcinations temperature=700℃and calcinations time=1h) and the obtainedparticles exhibited resistivity of6.93Ω cm with size of100nm.The prepared nano ATO and ATO/TiO2conductive particles were dispersed ininsulating thermosetting acrylic polyurethane resins to produce conductive slurry. Andthen the slurry was painted above the aluminum surface of OPC. It is concluded thatthe film with ATO solid content of70%show a film resistivity of107~108Ω cm,which was most suitable for the OPC. Performance parameters of the prepared OPCwere V0=795.95V, Vr=37.01V, DDR=26.27V/s, E1/2=0.13μJ/cm2. The film withATO/TiO2solid content of80%and film resistivity of108~109Ω cm showedexcellent mechanical properties. Performance parameters of the OPC with ATO/TiO2were V0=773.11V, Vr=120.05V, DDR=28.71V/s, E1/2=0.14μJ/cm2.
