The modern large-scale air separation unit mainly adopts ambient temperaturemolecular sieve adsorption, booster turbo expander, distillation column with regularpacking instead of traditional tray, full distillation argon process without hydrogen, towardthe super large scale and low power consumption direction. With the development ofcomputer technology and the appearance of simulation software like ASPEN and HYSYS,the chemical simulation software has become the theoretical basis for the sable operationof air separation unit.Air separation process calculation is the basic design of the air separation plant.Through consulting the documents, this thesis sums up the basic principles of airseparation process design calculation. And then on MWorks platform based as theModelica programming language, this thesis establishes the model of air compressor,precooler, molecular sieve, heat exchanger, booster turbo expander, throtting set anddistillation column in the light of air separation unit with the oxygen yield reached120000.Through the connection between the models, this thesis builds the whole air separationprocess with the simulation calculation. And the calculation results are satisfactory. At thesame time, this thesis gets the steady-state simulation results according to the oxygenproduction in the design value of75%~105%in the range of7different operating points.Through the integration of the simulation module of the molecular sieve purifier andthe heat exchanger, the results indirectly reflect the advantage of MWorks platform basedon the method of the unified modeling language which can realize the seamless integrationamong the complex system different areas of subsystem models.Finally, this thesis builds the steady-state simulation of air separation plant inHYSYS. the analysis of simulation results can be a guiding of the optimization of thesimulation program of the air separation process based on MWorks platform.
