| Recently, fuel and chemical raw materials we are using are mainly from fossil fuels. With the development of society and economy, fossil resources are depleted. To developnovel and sustainable resources has became a pressing mission. Biomass, the largestsustainable resource in nature, is drawing lots of attention in recent years.5-hydroxymethylfurfural (5-HMF), the crucial platform for chemical produces from biomass, can be converted into a variety of chemicals. Conversion of biomass as glucose andcellulose into5-HMF is considered to be an important way to use biomass and has becamea hot research field. The main route from biomass to5-HMF is the acidic dehydration of hexose. Thesolvent systems and catalyst which have been reported have some drawback, includinghigh price, high toxic, hard to be reused. For the purpose of conversion biomass into5-HMF in a green, sustainable, low toxic reaction system, the following contents werestudied by this thesis. With ZrOCl2as catalyst, DMAc as a solvent, the conversion of glucose and celluloseto5-HMF was investigated. when using glucose and α-cellulose, the yield of5-HMF canachieved45.4%and31.2%respectively at5wt%of water content and150℃in DMAcfor45min.When Zr(NO3)4as catalyst, Halogen ions can affect the reaction and adding20mol%bromide ions can promote the reaction. With Zr(NO3)4as catalyst, using glucose assubstrate, the yield of5-HMF can achieved45.2%at5wt%of water content and150℃inDMAc for45min. |
