Ceramic matrix composite material as an advanced engine material is appliedincreasingly widely, there are more and more research mainly on the preparation ofhigh-temperature materials and oxidation resistance. Excellent performance Ti3SiC2-basedceramic composite as new ceramic materials with metals and ceramics properties is anideal material for future high-temperature structural materials. The paper using vacuumTIG welding prepared A, B, C three formulations of Ti3SiC2ceramic composite, throughthe material density and hardness tests, Ti3SiC2comosite composition and microstructureanalysis, Ti3SiC2composite formation mechanism studies, high temperature anti-oxidationability of the experiments, analysis and tissue morphology was observed after oxidation ofcomponents, and the phase composition was measured by XRD after heat treatment.At thelast gaining the following conclusions(1) The density of Ti3SiC2ceamic composite defined byA, B, C three formulations is4.3613g/cm3,4.4003g/cm3,4.3980g/cm3, respectively, Ti3SiC2volume fraction is40%,17.3%,62.8%; and Vickers hardness Ti3SiC2which is loaded with different loads aredifferent variations. Adding TiB2can improve Ti3SiC2content and grain refinement.(2) A, B, C are three sample formulations were oxidation under the condition of900℃,4h;900℃,1000℃,1100℃,1200℃,20h in air, the oxidation kinetics ofdifferent formulations under the same conditions and the same formulation oxidationkinetics under different temperature conditions are different; Found that the oxidation rateof formula C under the same conditions is minimal than the oxidation rate constants A andB and the same conditions of an order of magnitude reduction in the formulation.(3)900℃,4h after oxidation, A and B sample recipes all surfaces generated TiO2, Cformula is part of the surface of TiO2, the main thing is Ti3SiC2, oxidation three samplesare stratified, but not very obvious.1200℃,20h after oxidation, the surface of thesample in three formulations contain TiO2and SiO2, significant cross-section of the oxidelayer are layered, the outer layer of TiO2, the inner layer of TiO2and SiO2mixed.(4) Heat treatment of the three formulations at a temperature1280℃of Ti3SiC2isperformed under the holding time3h,4h,5h, different holding time and the content of Ti3SiC2phase composition is different; three formulations of Ti3SiC2content after heattreatment is more than Ti3SiC2content not heat-treated; A, B, C are three recipes to get themost with heat treatment holding time Ti3SiC2were4h,5h,3h; TiB2added can improvethe stability of the heat treatment of the material.
