Metal-organic framework materials (MOF) is a new material, the structure is in the form of metal ions or clusters with strong bonds connecting a wide variety of organic ligands to form a novel structures. The changes of the metal ions, organic and inorganic ligands, satisfies the structure. In this paper, tri(4-pyridylphenyl)amine ligand acts as the center. By changing the central metal ion or the auxiliary ligand, or changing the conditions of the synthesis reaction,10 MOFs was synthesized using hydro-thermal synthesis. Their chemical formula are as follows:(1) [Cd(TPPA)(fuma)]n(2){[Zn(TPPA)(suc)]·5H2O·DMA}n(3) [Co(TPPA)(bhf)]n(4) [Zn(TPPA)(bhf)]n(5) [Co(TPPA)(oba)]n(6) [Cd(TPPA)(oba)]n(7) [Co2(TPPA)2(1,3-bdc)2(H2O)]n(8) [Zn(TPPA)(1,3-bdc)]n(9) [Zn6(TPPA)2(betc)(Hbetc)2(H2betc)(H2O)6·7H2O·2DMA]n(10) [Cu(TPPA)(NO3)2(H2O)]·2H2O]nCompounds 1-6 are centered by TPPA ligand, a flexible or semi-rigid dicarboxylic acid is synthesized auxiliary ligand. Compound 1 reveals a 4-fold interpenetrating 3D framework with AFUQOH topology. Compound 2 reveals a 2-fold interpenetrating 3D network with large void space (up to 37.6%). Compounds 3 and 4 are isomorphic 2D networks. Different from compounds 3 and 4, compounds 5 and 6 show 2D â†' 3D parallel polycatenation of undulated square layers. Compound 7 reveals 2-fold interpenetrating 3D framework with point symbol{63}{68.82}. Compound 8 is a 2D framework. Compound 9 is a non-interpenetration 3D framework with{4.6.83.10}2{4.62.83}2{62.82.102}{62.8}2 point symbol. Compound 10 is also a 2D framework, different from compound 8, compound 10 shows 2D â†' 3D parallel poly-catenation nets of undulated square layers. In addition, photochemical properties of compounds 1-10 and the ligands in the solid state have been studied.In this paper, the synthesis of 10 MOFs having a novel structure, while doing its nature characterize and provide theoretical and practical basis for subsequent MOF synthesis.
