As artifacts used in high load, stress the complication, encouraging people to its quality and reliability is increasing day by day, the traditional single surface treatment gradually revealed many shortcomings, can’t even meet the practical requirements, therefore, composite surface engineering technology arises at the historic moment. They were used by two or two above the surface of the technology to obtain a good comprehensive composite layer single technology can’t achieve. In this paper, through the study of Laser Quenching and Plasma Multi-elements Penetrating treatment as the composite technology, for the development of the technology provides some process parameters.Based on 38CrMoAl steel and 40Cr steel were treated by the Plasma Multi-elements Penetrating, Laser Quenching, Laser Quenching/Plasma Multi-elements Penetrating. Results are analyzed by the Microscopic Hardness Tester, Metallographic Microscope, Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM), Energy Spectrometer, X-ray diffraction and Electrochemical Workstation. Experimental research shows that:(1) When set in the spot diameter of 0.5 mm, laser power control in 300 W, scanning speed is 200 mm/min, the surface after laser quenching effect is better. (2) Treated by Laser Quenching/Plasma Multi-elements Penetrating, the sample surface hardness was obviously higher than the front. (3) In the case of equal permeability layer thickness, composite treatment than Plasma Multi-elements Penetrating treatment are shorter processing time. (4) In the set of laser processing parameters, when 38CrMoAl steel is in temperature of 515℃, time of 6 hours; 40Cr steel is in temperature of 495℃, time of 6 hours, its surface hardness and the layer thickness are impermeable by Plasma Multi-elements Penetrating. (5) After Laser Quenching/Plasma Multi-elements Penetrating treatment, the surface of 38CrMoAl sample has more Fe2-3N and FeS, the surface of 40Cr sample has more Fe2-3N and less Fe3C.(6) After Laser Quenching/Plasma Multi-elements Penetrating processing, the sample corrosion resistance increase.
