Photocatalysis and super-hydrophilicity performance of self-cleaning thin films are always the focus care of enterprises and consumers, titanium dioxide(TiO2) has a good photocatalytic performance. In the condition of illumination, the interior valence band electrons absorb photon and jump to the conduction band, resulting in a hole-electron pair. The electrons can reduct the oxygen in the air, then the organic pollutants can be adsorbed and decomposed into CO2、H2O or small inorganic molecules completely. Furthermore it does not produce new pollutants and costs little. These advantages of titanium dioxide generate a very good application prospect in the waste water treatment fields, air purification fields, and self-cleaning fields. Titanium dioxide doped with titanates were prepared, on account of the deficiencies of narrow absorption range, low efficiency of quantization and high recombination rate of charge carrier. Compared with the pure TiO2 thin films, the visible light photocatalytic activity and hydrophilicity of composite films were both enhanced largely. The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:1. Using tetrabutyl titanate as titanium source and nickel nitrate hexahydrate as nickel source synthesized NiTiO3-TiO2 composite film has flower-like structure via a simple solvothermal method, and its optical properties, the photoelectrochemical properties were studied. The composite film is a super-hydrophilic properties, and on the 1×10-5 mol/L methylene blue has a good degradation efficiency.2. The use of solvothermal method for the synthesis of Bi2Ti2O7-TiO2 complex nanowire array film morphology, the synthesis process is tetrabutyl titanate as titanium source, bismuth nitrate pentahydrate as bismuth source, ethanol and glycerol as solvent and to study its morphology and optical properties, and their photoelectrochemical properties, photocatalytic performance and super-hydrophilic properties were discussed. The composite film on 5 mg/L of phenol and 1×10-5 mol/L of Rhodamine B all have very good degradation efficiency.The self-cleaning thin films in this paper were compact, uniform and transparent without iridescent appearance, which can be controled easily, producted simplely and the raw material composition for product is less and cheap, less energy consumption during the production process, but the self-cleaning thin film has a high removal efficiency, hydrophily and antibacterial ratio, so it is a kind of environmental friendly materials.
