Chemical resistant polyurethane elastomer as a functional elastomer material, has become an important direction and hotspot in research and development, have a vital role on the society progress, the protection of the environment and improve the economic benefit, has caught the attention of social from all walks of life. This paper studies the chemical resistance properties of polyurethane elastomer, using the chain extender, adding filler, modified chain extender etc,for polyurethane chemical resistance for a certain amount of research.(1) By different proportions of chain extender makig TDI+Polyester218+TIPA/ TMP type polyurethane elastomers. When TIPA/TMP is 1/4, the material’s chemical resistance merits order:37%H2SO4>50% NaOH>Toluene>ethyl acetate> cyclohexane-ne> tetrahydrofuran.(2) Added TIPA to the polyol. Making TDI+(Polyester218+TIPA)+TIPA/TMP type polyurethane elastomers. Get the TIPA content of 1.5%, the materials has better chemical resistance properties.(3) TIPA/TMP is 1/4 as chain extender, TDI+Polyester218+ TIPA/TMP type polyurethane elastomers have better chemical resistance properties than TDI+ (Polyester218+TIPA)+ TIPA/TMP type polyurethane elastomers.That is when synthesis the prepolymer, Join trifunctionality TIPA in polyols, making polyurethane elastomer specimens. And the chemical resistance properties less than the specimens synthesised by pure polyol.(4) When adding solid packing,compared TDI system with MDI system,TDI system’s viscosity is smaller,the operation more convenient,and the specimens have better chemical resistance properties. Under the premise of the filler can be dispersed evenly. The smaller the particle size of the filler the more obvious enhance on the mechanical properties and chemical resistance properties, and the polyurethane rubber roller is more conducive to its surface wear layer’s grinding and machining.(5) Introduction of small molecules in the polyurethane elastomer,which contains benzene sulfone groups. Using the sulfone groups’strong stability to improve chemical resistance properties of the elastomeric material. And we made a certain test for the materials synthesized, and we found 4,4’-dichloro diphenyl sulfone modified by BDO melting point reduce to 65 ℃, and it is in line with the requirements of the modified.
