Shedding mechanism is a key component of controlling the movement of air-jet looms, therefore it is an important part of the air-jet looms. Quality of Shedding mechanism has a direct relationship on performance of the loom, such as production efficiency、the complexity of weave and the spindle speed. Common Shedding mechanisms are divided into cam mechanism、connecting rod Shedding mechanism、jacquard and dobby Shedding mechanism. The research on electronic shedding mechanisms is still in its infancy, most of our products are imported. For a major exporter of textiles, it is particularly important to research and development with the new electronic shedding mechanism. A new type of electronic Shedding mechanism--electro-hydraulic Shedding mechanism which is based on the traditional Shedding mechanism – was proposed in this thesis. This new shedding mechanism applies the electro-hydraulic servo control instead of the traditional cam or rod to drive heald frame movement, so that can make arguments to achieve automatic control.The new type of electro-hydraulic Shedding mechanism is consist of mechanical design、hydraulic system design and control system design. Mechanical structure design is based on analysis traditional structure. The hydraulic control system wa s added to the whole system, so that displacement was magnified; Hydraulic system design include designing of working principle of the hydraulic system, drawing schematic of hydraulic circuit, selection of hydraulic component, analysis stability of system; Control system design include selection component, drawing schematic, selecting and optimizing the control algorithm.Paper according to the control system requirements for the control system software design. Design of software including PC software design and lower computer software design. Lab VIEW is used to program the PC software. Various parameters is monitored comprehensively. Lower machine software programmed by Twin CAT to control system. ADS of TCP/IP is choosed to make communication.Through the field test, the shedding mechanism can achieve not only the functions of the traditional shedding mechanism, but also automated.
