With the development of the national economy and the people’s living level increasing, the quantity of sewage every area of our country is greatly improved, meanwhile, the produced sludge quantity is improved greatly, sludge treatment and disposal issues have become increasingly prominent. According to the research and statistics, if not in sewage sludge are properly disposed of, there will be nearly 50% of the COD in other types or forms of transfer to the surrounding environment, not only pollute the environment, the more influence on human health.The methods of sludge disposal in China have incineration, composting and landfill, and these methods are committed to the end of treatment on sludge, and environmental benefits and economic benefits are not ideal enough. This research is based on sludge "source reduction" concept by investigated situation of industrial sludge in Shijiazhuang, and choose A, B two demonstration enterprises sewage treatment system for test. Follow the principle of sludge source abatement and full process control, and applicate DM composite microbial inoculum of reduction processing on the biochemical sludge disposal, to change subsequent passive as front-end governance, so as to realize the reduction, stabilization and harmless sludge.1) Sludge reduction operation practice in demonstration enterprise shows that, add DM compound microbial inoculants to the sewage treatment system, will not have adverse effects on the biochemical tank effluent COD. And under the condition of stable system water quality, it has no adverse impact of biochemical pond effluent COD, and it decrease the displacement of residual sludge at the same time. It also can improve sludge settling property, improve the sludge characteristics.2) Discuss further effect on the demonstration enterprise sewage treatment system of process parameters of sludge reduction.3) The study of DM composite microbial inoculum applied to pilot demonstration enterprises shows that, sludge reduction by DM composite microbial agents generally have good effect on high COD, high sludge yield and good biodegradability of water treatmen. It can effectively cut off surplus sludge volume from the source, and reduce the pressure of follow-up sludge treatment and disposa. It has the significant in the economic, environmental and social benefits, and has good popularization value.
