A Study On The Cause Of Ecological Crisis Of "Ecological Marxism"

Modern ecological crisis is one of the common crisis that humanbeing have to face. It can aspect the process that whether human beingwill achieve a successful transition from industrial civilization toecological civilization, and it also aspects the human being as aspecies continue to thrive in the crisis. Facing the severe ecologicalcrisis, various theoretical schools have put forward many prescriptions.Only finding the fundamental reason can we put forwarda good prescription. As a new school of the Western Marxism, “TheEcological Marxism” have inherited the powerful doctrine of Marxismand combined with the characteristics and mission of the times andcriticized the one-sided view of the anthropocentrism and eco-centrism.And around the theme of science and technology, the view of controllingnature, alienation of consumption, the capitalist mode of production, “TheEcological Marxism” try to find the causes of the ecological crisis andexplore new ideas for human society to solve ecological dilemma.But the ecological crisis origin theory of “The EcologicalMarxism” also has insufficiency. The biggest drawback lies in thesingle source of excessive pursuit of the ecological crisis. And thesolution of crisis becomes biased. Therefore, this paper analyses thecauses of the crisis theory of “The Ecological Marxism” and summarizesits significance and limitations. And basing on the China questionconsciousness, contemporary context, Engels’ historical resultant theoryand Chinese characteristic socialism theory, this paper trys to improve theecological crisis origin theory of “The Ecological Marxism”. From thewhole point of view, this paper emphasizes on constructingmodern ecological treatment system and cultivating the ability ofmodern ecological governance so as to lead technology, consumption, theideas of nature-control and capital to play a positive role. Only in this way,the construction of ecological civilization can really integrateinto the "five-one" modernization strategy, and we can find a feasibleway for the governance of China’s severe ecological problems.This paper is divided into six parts. The first part briefly introducesthe reason and significance, domestic and foreign research statusand research methods. The second part: the origin of “The EcologicalMarxism”, mainly introduces the characteristics of modern ecologicalcrisis, and the production and development course of “The EcologicalMarxism”. The third part mainly introduces how the different schoolsof scholars separately research the origin of ecological crisis from theperspective of science and technology, alienation of consumption, theideas of nature-control and the capitalist mode of production etc. Thefourth part: the significance and limitations of the origin ecology theoryof “The Ecological Marxism”. The five part: the enlightenment ofthe origin ecology theory of “The Ecological Marxism”. The sixth part:conclusion.
