In this paper, the study on heavy oil micro flow pattern can be divided into two parts.The one is using the method of physical experiment, selecting representative heavy oil sample of du 84 block in Liaohe oil field. And the next work is to conduct heavy oil dehydration,determinate viscosity-temperature relationship, prepare core sample and do heavy oil start-up pressure gradient experiment and so on. Finally analysis of experimental data should be done.Through analyzing the influence factors such as permeability and viscosity, it can conclude that the relationship between the change of permeability and the start-up pressure gradient.According to the data, it can map the relation curve between them. The curve can conclude that if the flow is greater, the pressure gradient will be greater. And if the permeability of heavy oil is lower, and the start-up pressure gradient will be greater. In addition, no matter which the test pipe diameter is bigger or the test pipe length is larger, the start-up pressure gradient will be greater.The other part is to analyze factors which affect the flow of heavy oil in the micro pore.Combined with the two phase flow model, and the method is using the Fluent software to carry on the numerical simulation. Analyzing the simulation results conclude heavy oil flow situation in the micro pore and the relationship with the start-up pressure gradient. The study takes mainly into account four aspects. They are viscosity, density, wetting angle and dip angle. Analyzing heavy oil flow distribution in these several cases, according to value changes of the four aspects, and the heavy oil start-up pressure gradient will relevantly change.Among these changes, the model dip angle changes especially emphasize that the gravity play a role in the process of heavy oil flow. According to the results of numerical simulation,drawing out the curve between viscosity, density, wetting angle with start-up pressure gradient.According to the study between the experiment of material and numerical simulation, it has implemented the calculation results in conformity with the law of flow, and can be intuitive show the flow of the heavy oil in the micro pore. And it also reveals the composite effect of gravity and pressure as a result, provide the basis for the flow of the research within the micro pore.
