With the continuous expansion of the scale of oil reservoir, the way of w aterflood recovery constantly used, fouling problem widely exists in produced s ystems and gathering transportation systems, oilfield fouling problems gradually become more and more important focus of attention.Currently adding scale inh ibitors is used most widely, most economical and most convenient method.With the development of water treatment technology promoting and the growth of a wareness of environmental protection, in accordance with the principle of green chemistry, the development of new type of scale inhibitors should be nontoxic and harmless, it’s the new trend of the development of scale inhibitors, and it has great significance for oilfield development.In this paper, the experiment with water as solvent, ammonium persulfate as initiator,phosphorous acid(H3PO3), itaconic acid(IA), 2-acrylamide-2-methyl p ropane sulfonic acid(AMPS) are as reaction monomers, terpolymer was synthe sized by free radical polymerization method, using the resistance of the calciu m carbonate scale ability as evaluation standard, discussing the influences of ki nd and dosage of initiator, monomer ratio, reaction temperature, reaction time a nd other factors, which decided the performance of copolymer scale inhibitor a nd the optimum synthesis conditions were determined.This paper measures the copolymer viscosity, using FT-IR to characterize the structure of copolymer.The results of the experiments shows that the optimum synthesis conditions is:the mo nomer ratio is nH3PO3:nAMPS:nIA=5:1:5, the initiator dosage is 4.5%, the reaction temperature is 80℃, the reaction time is 2h. Using the static scale inhibition method to evalu ate the ability of scale inhibition and using the ability of dipersing ferric oxide as standards to evaluate the copolymer dispersion performance. when dosage of scale inhibitor is 50 mg/L, the best scale inhibition rate is 96.19%, it has go od resistance performance on calcium carbonate scale, and has good thermal st ability and good resistance to calcium salt, the luminousness of dispersing ferric oxide is 52.6%, it has good dispersion performance.IR analysis show that the s ynthetic copolymer containing phosphono, carboxyl and sulfonic acid group at th e same time.
