In the area of well drilling, vibration of drilling assembly in drilling process is a difficult problem. Meanwhile, to increase the reservoir exploitation effect, directional drilling in the proportion of total oil and gas exploration is on the rise. This will have to mention that the drill string vibration affect the actual use of MWD instruments. This complex downhole vibration is one of the main reasons causing the MWD instruments failure and damage. Recent years, the research of downhole accidents show that measure and control the downhole vibration will improve drilling rate, moreover protect the drill assembly and downhole instruments. Based on large of deep study on drilling vibration, shocks caused by the complex motion have huge energy; will make the electronic equipment in wellbore damage due to the violent force of lengthwise, reverse, transverse, and coupling. Through the analysis of Drill string vibration characteristics, and combined with damage examples of MWD in drilling process, corresponding measures should be taken in the drilling work of future, so these measures can improve the stability of the instrument, avoid trips caused by instruments failure, improve drilling efficiency, reduce production costs. This paper based on the theory of mathematical, model in combination with drilling production, the calculated data has strong scientific value, then analyze the downhole multiple vibration, make enough research about its causes and influence factors. Comparing the vibration interference, measurement error, data distortion and instrument body damage which encountered in actual use of MWD, it show the link of theory and practice intuitively.
