The fluorescent permeating agent is widely used in NDT as tracer agent. There will produce high concentrations of emulsified wastewater. The main ingredient of this wastewater are surfactant, mineral oil, fluorescent powder and a variety of chemical additives. The main properties of the wastewater are high concentration of COD and oil. The concentration of COD is 1000-15000 mg/L, the concentration of oil is 300-3000 mg/L, the chromaticity is 600-2000. A direct discharge will cause a large degree of pollution on the environment. Therefore, to study a practical and efficient way to treat such wastewater is of great significance. In this paper, we adopts the demulsification-coagulation-Fenton process to treat fluorescent penetration emulsified oil wastewater, and find out the optimal conditions. We studied the effect of the species of demulsifier, the dosage of demulsifier, PAC and PAM. p H. stirring time. stirring speed. and the standing time on the coagulation breaking experiment. As well as the effect of the concentration of H2O2, Fe2+. the p H. and the reaction time on the Fenton experiment. The experimental results are as follows: The best dosage of demulsifier is 1.5 g/L, the p H is 7.5, the dosage of PAC and PAM are 1.5 g/L and 12 mg/L, the stirring speed is 100 r/min, the stirring time is 10 min, The best condition for the Fenton experiments is at 2 g/L Fe2+, 5 m L/L H2O2 added, at p H 3 for reaction 1.5 h.The wastewater treated by coagulation and Fenton process still need the further treatment such as activated carbon adsorption to meet the requirement of wastewater discharge standards. The water treated by adsorption can be discharged directly, to reduce the harm to environment. Finally, we designed a installation to treat the wastewater for “Coagulation-Fenton-Adsorption” according to the experiment results. It has been applied to this company.
