Polymer materials which used outdoors are usually destroyed by UV light in sunlight. Wood-plastic composite(WPC) is one of the fast development polymer materials, it’s outdoor applications has become more and more widespread, Light stabilizer was usually used by the purpose of improving it’s aging properties. The low molecular light stabilizer is easy to volatilize in thermal processing, not only can cause a great loss, but also to pollute the environment and affect the health of operating personnel. The preparation of polymeric light stabilizers, not only to improve the thermal stability, but also improve the performance of resistance to migration, and overcomes the defects of low molecule light stabilizer.In this paper, we had preparation of the 2-hydroxy-4-acrylatebenzophenone(HABP)、2-[(2-hydroxy-4-acrylate)- phenyl]-benzotriazol(HAPBT) 、 4-methacrylate-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine(MTMP) 、methoxypoly(ethylene glycol)acrylate(EGA) and octadecyl acrylate(OA) with 2,4-Dihydroxybenzophenone(UV-0) 、 2-(2,4-Dihydroxy-phenyl)-benzotriazol(UVP) 、 2,2,6,6-Tetramethyl-4-piperidinol(TMP) 、methoxypoly(ethylene glycols)(MPEG) and stearyl alcohol(SA) as the raw meterial by means of catalytic esterification. The products were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)、1H nuclear magnetic resonance(1H-NMR)、ultraviolet spectrum(UV-Vis) and thermo gravimetric analysis( TGA) techniques.Then we had preparation of four kinds of polymer such as P(HABP-co-MTMP-co-OA-co-EGA) 、 P(HABP-co-MTMP-co-OA) 、P(HABP-co-MTMP-co-EGA) and P(TMP-MF-MPEG-co-HABP-co-St) with HABP、MTMP、EGA、OA、TMP-MF-MPEG and styrene(St) as the raw meterial by means of solution polymerization; and had preparation of three kinds of polymer such as P(HAPBT-co-MTMP-co-OA-co-EGA)、P(HAPBT-co-MTMP-co-OA) and P(HAPBT-co-MTMP-co-EGA) with HAPBT、MTMP、EGA and OA as the raw meterial by means of solution polymerization. The products were characterized by FT-IR、1H-NMR、UV-Vis and TGA techniques.Finally, several of these products are applied to the PVC、PP、PE materials and the PVC/SF、PP/SF、PE/SF composite materials, and they were characterized by attenuated total refraction(ATR) 、 differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)、tensile test、contact angle test、water extraction test and heat transfer test techniques.The experimental results show that the comprehensive properties of polymeric light stabilizers are better than low molecular weight light stabilizers. P(HAPBT-co-MTMP-co-OA-co-EGA) was the best of the seven synthetic polymeric light stabilizers.
