Organosilicon products belong to new material products with various kinds, excellent performance and wide application prospect. However, no systematic investigation has been reported up to today on quantitative analysis of the trace ions in these products. To improve the technique level for quality control, this thesis systematically reports quantitative analysis of the trace ions in organosilicon products, including the silica products, silane coupling agents, silicon oils and silicon rubbers, by ion chromatography. Meanwhile, we attempt to combination of the ion chromatography technique and electrospray mass spectrometry, and apply it in characteristic analysis of the unknown components in the shrimp washing powder. This thesis is consisted of four chapters. In chapter one, the development of organic silicon products and the current situation of ion chromatography were introduced. It mainly focused on the application and analysis of silicone products, the influence of trace ions on the quality of products, the basic principle of ion chromatography and the sample pretreatment technique of ion chromatography. In chapter two, the quantitative analysis for the trace cations in several silica products were developed by the ion chromatography. Parameters of the extraction including extraction method, extraction volume and extraction time were optimized, and the method has been applied for the quantitative analysis of the actual silica products, indicating that it can be applied for the quality control of these products. In chapter three, a reasonable sample pretreatment method for extraction of the trace anion in the organosilicon products has been developed, and the trace chloridion in these samples has been quantitatively analyzed. The operation parameters of extraction and ion chromatography analysis have been optimized systematically, and the developed method has been applied for the trace chloridion in the samples of organosilicon products. In addition,(3-chloropropyl)triethoxysilane was selected as a model to compare the quantitative analysis results of chloridion, obtained by the sample pretreatment techniques of extraction with pure water versus oxygen bomb combustion, and the results indicated that extraction with pure water is the ideal method for determination of the free chloridion. In chapter four, ion chromatography is in combination with electrospray ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry, and has been applied for the analysis of the shrimp washing powder on the market. An unknown component has been attributed to the thiosulfate anion by using high-resolution time-of-flight mass spectrometry. The method also provides a basic technique for the analysis of the unknown components in silicone products.
