In recent years, in the newly discovered crude oil reserves, the proportion of low permeability reservoirs is increasing gradually. Due to the special nature of the low permeability reservoirs, many enhanced oil recovery technology can not achieve better results for low permeability reservoirs. For this type of reservoir, gas injection has unique advantages. Compared with water injection, gas injection has a better result to maintain reservoir pressure, to extend oilfield’s period of stabilized production and to solve the trouble that water can not be injected into the formation, which has a better economic benefit. At present, in the worldwide, the gas injection has gradually become a mainstream development technology of low permeability reservoirs. More and more oil fields began to explore the feasibility of gas injection in varying degrees. It has direct guiding significance for the development of low permeability reservoir by gas injection to research the feasibility of gas injection. The reservoir of Sarvak in Iran’s Yadavaran oilfield produced a large number of associated hydrocarbon gases during the exploitation process of crude oil. This paper mainly researched the feasibility of the gas’s re-injection to enhance oil recovery and optimize parameters of injection and production. Firstly, departure from the reservoir of Sarvak’s geological characteristics, predicted the minimum miscibility pressure when three different composition of gas was injected into Sarvak by the methods of phase, empirical correlation and thin tube simulation, analysised the feasibility of miscible flooding for different cases; Secondly, combinating of literature research, analysised Sarvak’s reservoir and fluid properties, evaluated the suitability of gas injection; Finally, using the method of numerical simulation, by representative analysis and phase fitting of the original reservoir fluid sample. Sarvak’s compositional model of five components was established and the effect of gas injection of Sarvak and optimized the parameters of injection and production was simulated. The result of the parameters optimized has a guide significance for the actual development of Sarvak and has important reference value for similar reservoirs.
