Horizontal well drilling technology has become an important measure to increase production for oil field. Using horizontal drilling can maximize the exposed area of the reservoir and extend the length of the target segment. The study of horizontal well drilling technology abroad is earlier and mature. As early as1863, the Swiss engineers put forward the proposal to drilling horizontal wells. In1870Russia drilled into the well of60degrees deviation angle. At the same period Sweden and the United States developed a instrument for the measurement of the spatial location of the borehole. Subsequently the advanced measurement instruments, long-life motor and new PDC bit technology emerged and developed. Horizontal drilling technology got also large-scale and high-speed development. Since the1990s China’s horizontal drilling technology has also made a lot of development. The level and speed of horizontal drilling have been improved significantly. However, currently domestic horizontal drilling are mostly conventional ones. Downhole measuring instruments also use conventional MWD inclinometer while drilling. BHA selection and the adjustment and placement of toolface often face the site operators. In order to achieve real-time control of real-time trajectory of horizontal wells, real-time judge and the remote command of the complex conditions with the different experts in the field, horizontal drilling to design a real-time remote monitoring system to form a horizontal drilling RMON command center appears to be particularly important. So designing a real-time remote monitoring system for horizontal drilling to form a horizontal drilling RMON command center appears particularly important.With the horizontal drilling process characteristics, downhole measuring instruments measuring principle and trajectory control theory, determine the engineering parameters of the horizontal well drilling, remote real-time monitoring system to monitor and control. Systematically study the structures of the logging instrumentation and downhole measuring instruments (MWD).And based on the engineering parameters independently design and develop a real-time data acquisition system to achieve multi-source acquisition and multi-source integration of logging data and downhole measurement data. And based on the CDMA/GPRS wireless channel technology design and form hardware facilities and software systems of remote real-time transmission system which meet the horizontal drilling remote real-time monitoring system.The idea of the waterfall model of software engineering is adopted to build a overall system architecture of horizontal drilling remote real time monitoring system. Through the optimization of analysis methods of the well trajectory while drilling and based on the theory of three-dimensional visualization, independently develop real-time tracking system for three-dimensional space of well trajectory, and integrated with the real-time data acquisition systems and remote real-time transmission system integration.Example tests showed that software system runs stably, processes reliably, displays correctly and has the value of field application. Thus it breaks the present situation that our country has not an efficient and reliable Internet real-time information transmission system that is the integration of trajectory monitoring, trajectory control and logging comprehensive judgment. It is of great significance for the implementation of the guide, the trajectory control and the judgment of the drilling conditions in the drilling process with logging comprehensive information and multi-source acquisition and integration of measurement information of directional wells and the achievement of an expert monitoring dozens of wells without being on wells himself, effectively improving the efficiency of a single well to reduce the cost of human resources and forming a remote command center for directional wells and horizontal wells.
