Because of the superiority of the rotating packed bed in the process of process intensification,which make it more and more get the favour of the researchers.many scholars have a lot of research achievements of its industrial application,but there are lacking for the theoretical research part,its internal fluid hydrodynamics characteristics remains to be further research.Porous media theory is introduced in this paper, The author will be treated as packing process for porous media,refer to the actual structure of rotating packed bed, design and calculation is used for numerical calculation model of the rotating packed bed, and establish the corresponding three-dimensional physical model, using computational fluid dynamics of fluent software, respectively to simulate its internal gas phase and gas-liquid two-phase flow. The main work and research results are as follows:(1) The author have put forward the design basis according to the design requirements, and then determine the main structure parameters of the rotor of rotating packed bed and the mass transfer characteristics is used to determine the rotor diameter, to complete the calculation in the design of the rotor. According to the existing MDEA desulfurization process, author have done equivalent simulation of rotating packed bed by Aspen Plus software, under the condition of satisfied the design requirements of all relevant process parameters, so as to determine the mass transfer coefficient, and through the initial value setting diameter using Microsoft Excel solver to calculate repeatedly, reasonable design results are obtained. The resulting flow field distribution more reasonable, and the results can be more truly reflect the distribution of rotating packed bed inside.(2) the design structure data of open type cross-flow rotating packed bed, introduce the theory of porous media packing layer is simplified, the corresponding three-dimensional physical model is established, and the proper meshing. According to the third chapter to establish the basic equations, the gas phase of single phase flow in the selection of appropriate boundary conditions, using the fluent software of the realizable k-epsilon model, porous media model for open to simulate gas-phase single-phase flow in rotating packed bed.(3) using the fluent software comes with porous media model and eulerian multiphase flow model, in a rotating packed bed with gas liquid two phase flow are simulated. Got the gas-liquid two phase flow of gas phase holdup distribution, pressure distribution and velocity field distribution, the simulation results well reflect the rotating packed bed macro flows of gas liquid two phase flow, the characteristics of the simulation results and the actual operation process generally consistent, shows that using the fluent software to simulate software inside the rotating packed bed gas liquid two phase flow field is practicable.
